A Prewar Classic 6 Apartment Renovation on the Upper West Side (UWS)

Despite the challenge of the building elevator being shut down during construction, our team completed a full gut restoration of this Prewar apartment in under 90 days. This Residential NYC renovation exemplifies precision, creativity, and efficiency—hallmarks of our full-service design build approach.
The transformation included a stunning new kitchen, featuring an impressive 17-foot island that opens into the dining room, creating a spectacular hub for entertaining. The project also encompassed the gut renovation and restoration of the master bath and powder room, along with custom media and storage cabinetry. In the den, we designed a new custom cover for the PTAC unit, and throughout the home, we upgraded existing heat and A/C covers with new stone tops.
We repaired and refinished the wood flooring where partition walls had been moved beneath the carpet, restoring the original craftsmanship and lightening the stain to enhance the apartment’s Prewar charm.

This NYC gut renovation beautifully bridges eras—transforming a modern interior back to its Prewar elegance while integrating today’s functional, modern design. Though a challenging co-op board review added complexity, the results were well worth it: our client absolutely loves their new home!
