This full-service design build project by Paula McDonald Design Build & Interiors tackled a challenging Prewar apartment in a 100-year-old estate condition. The renovation combined multiple spaces to create an open, modern layout while maintaining the apartment’s original Prewar charm.
Paula McDonald Design Build & Interiors merged three rooms into a fabulous 25-foot kitchen with an adjacent pantry for the dining area, creating a functional and inviting open-plan space. The gut renovations of the hall bath and master bath completely transformed these areas into modern, luxurious retreats.
Additional work included custom media and storage cabinetry, new covers for the PTAC units, ACs, and radiators throughout the apartment, and careful repair and refinishing of the original flooring to preserve its historic character. Every detail was thoughtfully executed to blend functionality with timeless design.
